Pastor Apolonio Garcia, known by most as Junior, planted Hallettsville Community Church in 2014 with a passion to reach people with the Gospel and serve the Hallettsville community. Prior to planting the church, Junior faithfully served at his home church beginning in 2006 as a men’s ministry leader, dedicated board member, and occasionally fulfilled pastoral responsibilities such as preaching and teaching.

While working in the HVAC field in Hallettsville, Junior felt a growing call to minister to those in the community who did not know Christ. He and his family began hosting Bible studies in their home, discipling a small group of individuals and casting vision for the church. What began as a small gathering grew into what is now Hallettsville Community Church.

Pastor Junior completed seminary coursework through Global University and became a licensed credentialed minister with the Assemblies of God in 2012. He continued his education and was ordained in 2015. He remains deeply passionate about reaching the lost and positively impacting the community.

He is actively involved in the Lavaca County Ministerial Alliance and serves on the Lavaca County Sheriff’s Spiritual Advisory Team. Pastor Junior also ministers regularly in the Lavaca County Jail and throughout Texas prisons, sharing hope and the message of Christ.

Pastor Junior’s vision is to see Hallettsville Community Church continue to grow as a strong, healthy church that advances its mission to “Enrich in Christ, One Soul at a Time.”

In his spare time, Junior enjoys fishing — and when he’s not fishing, he’s planning his next fishing trip.
